PATIENT EDUCATION

Dr Vincent A. Rauschel received his Doctor of medical Dentistry degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2000. Due to his outstanding scholarship he was allowed to graduate one semester early and was awarded an externship with one of the clinical directors at the dental school.He moved to Chandler, Arizona in 2001, where he established Sierra Family Dentistry, a premier dental treatment facility. To provide his patients with the benefits of state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Rauschel attend classes at top-notch post doctoral dental institutions, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Studies, the Spear Institute for Advance Dental Education, and the Aesthic Vision Seminar (for cosmetic issues). His professional affiliations include membership in the Academy of Oral Medicine, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and participation in the Implant Prosthetic Study Group.

Dr Rauschel and his skilled and committed staff provide a wide range of dental services, from routine cleaning to total mouth restorative procedures, Dr Rauschel's practice offers new patients a nurturing, relaxed environment, along with the assurance that only proven, safe effective and up-to-date dental procedures will be applied.

Dr. Eliya Zaidi
  Dr. Zaidi graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2001, whereupon in 2002 she joined Dr. Vincent Rauschel, as a partner in his practice at Sierra Family Dentistry in Chandler, AZ.

Since Dr. Zaidi believes in non-stop professional development, she has attended a variety of continuous dental education classes’ at the most prestigious post-doctoral dental training institutions such as Las Vegas Institute for Advance Dental Studies and the Frank Spear Institute for Advance Dental Education. She is a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine and participates in various professional study Groups. Patients appreciate her gentle touch, soothing manner and her ability to allay their fears which the prospect of an unfamiliar dental procedure might evoke. According to Dr. Zaidi's professional philosophy, the patient should emerge from dental treatment with a smile, which is not only physically attractive, but also enhances his/her feel of self esteem and contentment.

Dr. Rauschel and Dr. Zaidi have two children, a daughter Aliya five years old and a son Aydin, three. They are avid outdoors and sports enthusiasts and very active in community affairs.

Sierra's Front Office

Pati- Office Coordintor

Pati attended Pima Medical and graduated in 2003 for dental assisting; she completed her extern with us and joined the team right after. She began as an assistant and in no time worked her way up to front office. She is highly qualified to assist all patients with appointments, insurance questions, treatment plans or any questions they may have. She brings a positive attitude and cheerful smile to the office each day.

Family: Married to husband Rudys and two great kids, Tiahn and Rudys III.  She has three cats (Waffles, Jani Razor and Momo), that she loves.
 

Hobbies:  She loves spending time with her family, sewing, photography, reading and keeping up with the newest movies.  
 

Felicia- Office Coordinator-

Felicia graduated from Pima Medical Institute and became a part of the dental field right way. She now has four years of experience. She enjoys helping educate patients in regards to patients treatment plan needs as well and answering any insurance question that patients might have. She believes that quality patient care is the key to success in a dental office.

Family: Happily married to husband Nick, and two handsome sons MarQus and Ethan and family cat, Bunny Tim

Hobbies: Loves photography, scrapbooking, cooking and spending with her family.

Veronica-Billing Coordinator  

Veronica attended Pima Medical Institute and graduated in 1997 from the Dental Assisting Program. Veronica has assisted for several years along with working in the front office. She is our Financial Coordinator as well as, Claim Submissions and Billing. She is here to answer any of your Billing questions or concerns. Sierra's Back Office

Ashley-Dental Hygienist

Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene at Northern Arizona University in May 2005. She joined the Sierra Team in July 2005. Ashley states that laughter is common in the office.         

“Sierra is a fun and relaxing environment, making it welcoming to both the staff and our patients.” Ashley loves getting to know all of the patients and building relationships with them and their families. She strives to provide patients with thorough and individualized preventative oral healthcare.

Hometown:  Vancouver, British Columbia
 

Family: Husband Oliver and energetic rescue pup, Oden
Hobbies: hiking, camping and fishing in our beautiful state. She also enjoys international travel and scuba diving.  

Lorina-Dental Hygienist

Lorina went to school in Baltimore, MD and has been in dentistry for over 5 years. Lorina joined our team in February 2010. She brings an easy going attitude to the office. She is very passionate about her career and enjoys helping patients continually improve their oral health.

Home Town: Edgewood, Maryland

Family: Husband Dave,and two very spoiled animals Cosmo kitty and Baxter my silky terrier.

Hobbies: walking Baxter, traveling, scrapbooking and cooking

Marsha- Dental Hygienist

Marsha earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern State University in South Dakota and an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Phoenix College.  She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2003.  Marsha's favorite role in practicing dental hygiene is developing long-term relationships with her patients and helping them to realize the importance of good oral health and its impact on a person's overall health.  She provides preventative oral care and periodontal treatment with a calm and relaxed manner and strives to make her patients as comfortable as possible during their dental visits.

Family:  Husband, Greg and two sons, Max and John

Hobbies:  Marsha enjoys being active, especially running and hiking, is a fan of most sporting events, and spends most of her free time with her very active sons 

Sandra-Dental Assistant

Sandra was a patient of Dr Rauschel when she decided to attend Apollo College for dental assisting.  After graduating in 2004 she completed her extern she joined our team. Sandra is very great with patients and making sure they understand their treatment and making them feel comfortable. Her favorite part of dentistry is doing veneers and watching how it changes a patient’s smile.

Family: two kids Samantha and Sebastian and husband Oscar. They have two dogs and a turtle

Hobbies: Loves spending time with her family playing games and going to the gym.

Juilann-Dental Assistant

Juliann is our newest face at Sierra. She has recently graduated from Apollo College and has completed her extern with us. Juliann brings a bright smile and a good positive attitude to the office. She loves learning and meeting new people. Her favorite part of dentistry is working with patient and making them comfortable.
