Will I need to have X-rays?
Dental diseases can be sometimes detected through visual and tactile examination. However, some parts of the teeth, such as the areas facing other teeth,

as well as the attachment apparatus of the teeth and the bone quality cannot be properly evaluated without X-rays. They are prescribed at different time intervals depending on a patient's age, dental history, present dental condition, risk factors for dental disease, and dietary consideration.
